Important Notice

To All,

I hope that summer is treating you all well. We have a black belt gradings in October 25 - 27 with Sensei Bisson, who is the technical head of our style. To this end we will be hosting clinics and pre-gradings on the following dates:

August 24

Sept 14

Oct 12

The clinics/pre-gradings will be held at KV Karate 10-12 and 1-3 each day.

The clinics are open to all members 12 years of age and up. The pre-gradings are a pre-requisite for challenging a grading in the fall. If there are people trying for grading who cannot make these pre-gradings, please contact Sensei McInnes to see if alternate arrangements may be made, or consider a grading attempt in spring of 2025.

To re-iterate and be clear, attendance for all those challenging for grading shodan through shidoin is mandatory. We will be hosting clinics at the same date and time for all kyu levels and black belts age 12 and up. Two events simultaneously. Pl.ease pass this on to your students

We have expanded the Technical Committee in the Province to include talented and capable instructors who will be teaching at the clinics and presiding over the pre-gradings as well as Sensei McInnes, Mazerolle, and Douglass. With this larger committee we have an opportunity to be able to expand our clinics to cover material for all levels.

The members of the Committee are as follows:

Sensei McInnes, technical head of the Province and member of the Saiko Shihan Council, 8th degree, Hanshi

Sensei Mazerolle, 7th degree Renshi

Sensei Douglass, 6th degree Renshi

Sensei Rix, 5th degree Shihan

Sensei Savoie, 4th degree, Shidoin

Brent Donovan, 3rd degree Shidoin

Mike Quinn, 3rd degree Shidoin

Let me know if you have any questions, this is going out to all registered black belts, if there are some I have missed let me know, and again please pass this message on to your students.

Hope to see you at the clinics. There will be more information to come.
